Идеи А.С. Лаппо-Данилевского в интегральной концепции П.А. Сорокина
Аннотация
The article traces the continuity of the ideas of A.S. Lappo-Danilevsky in the scientific work of P.A. Sorokin. The author of the article refutes the widespread point of view in the Russian literature that the scientific ideas of A.S. Lappo-Danilevsky have not been continued in the Russian science. Most of the significant works were created by P.A. Sorokin after his emigration. However, many American colleagues continued to regard him as a representative of the Russian philosophical tradition. The role of M.M. Kovalevsky in the formation of P.A. Sorokin's scientific outlook is unquestionable and sufficiently investigated, but the problem of A.S. Lappo-Danilevsky's ideological influence on the formation of P.A. Sorokin remains open and debatable. Analyzing a number of theoretical works and personal documents belonging to the two outstanding thinkers, the author of the article reveals two levels of "cognitive coincidence zones" in their scientific heritage: ideological and methodological. In the zone of ideological coincidence are the ideas of interdisciplinary union of history and sociology, the idea of the inalienability of the cultural component in public life. Methodologically, the axiological approach is central. The conclusion is made about the direct influence of scientific ideas, theory and methodology of A.S. Lappo-Danilevsky on the formation of the scientific outlook of P.A. Sorokin. The personal contribution of A.S. Lappo-Danilevsky and P.A. Sorokin to the development of the Russian Sociological Society named after M.M. Kovalevsky is highlighted. The author outlines the vectors for further research, particularly the correlation between the idiographic and nomothetic methods of A.S. Lappo-Danilevsky and the causal-functional and logical-semantic methods of P.A. Sorokin.
